I have no experience in acting or writing and I’m really shy, is this workshop for me?
Yes, absolutely! This workshop is designed for writers of all levels, including beginners. You don’t need any experience in acting or writing to join—just a curiosity about characters and storytelling. The focus is entirely on writing, and you’ll have plenty of time to work at your own pace in a supportive environment. You won’t be asked to perform or share anything unless you’re comfortable doing so. The workshop is a great way to explore your creativity in a relaxed, no-pressure setting.

What are the classes going to be like?
This is an interactive, hands-on workshop, which means you’ll be actively writing and developing your monologue throughout the session. We’ll start with some guided exercises, followed by group discussions and peer feedback. You’ll have time to write on your own, but there will also be opportunities to share ideas and get constructive feedback from others. The atmosphere will be creative, relaxed, and encouraging.

What will I gain from this workshop?
You’ll leave the workshop with the tools to create fully realized, compelling character monologues. You’ll understand how to shape a character’s voice, structure their emotional journey, and write with intention. Plus, you’ll learn strategies for revising and refining your work. By the end, you’ll have a solid draft of a monologue and newfound confidence in your writing.

Will it be awkward if I come alone?
Not at all! Many people come to workshops on their own, and it’s actually a great way to meet fellow writers. You’ll be surrounded by people who are all focused on the same goal: improving their craft. The environment is supportive and welcoming, so you’ll feel at ease from the moment you arrive.

Do I have to bring anything to the classes?
Yes! Bring your laptop and charger (or a notebook and pens if you prefer), as you’ll be writing during the session. Make sure you have everything you need to take notes and work on your monologue. It’s also helpful to bring an open mind and a willingness to experiment with new ideas.
