Here’s the schedule for the 4-week workshop:

As a general note, I urge you all to be early or on time for the workshop sessions as there is a lot to cover every week.
Please dress comfortably or have athletic gear for every session.
Avoid wearing skirts (unless you have leggings) or any clothing that would make you feel self-conscious with movement.

This 4-week workshop will delve into the work of Lee Strasberg who is perhaps the father of ‘method acting’.
As we unpack what the Strasberg Method of Acting is, much has been said, reported, and even maligned/misunderstood as to what ‘Method Acting’ means.
Do read the attached handouts on Strasberg’s work.

Also, I have attached your first assignment which will be due on the third week of the semester.
Please memorize the entire script. All the roles.
Your scene partners will be decided by the end of Week 1.
It is essential that once you have your scene partner that you make sufficient time to rehearse with them outside of class.
You should aim to meet your scene partner for rehearsals about 5hrs or more before the end of the semester.
I will answer any questions you have on the assignments in Week 1.
