We’ve asked a mystery guest a series of 10 questions, originally conceptualized by host Bernard Pivot from the French series “Bouillon de Culture” and made famous by James Lipton, the host of “Inside the Actors Studio”.
Can you guess who our mystery interviewee is? (Here’s a hint: He acted in Jack Neo’s Long Long Time Ago.)
Watch this space – we’ll unveil the surprise in our next post!
1. What is your favorite word?
Haha – if that is even considered an official word. Seeing that word in text messages gives me a sense of peace that the conversation is going well. Conversely, its absence makes me feel like the person does not want to talk to me. Ya, I am that insecure and overly attached to technology.
2. What is your least favorite word?
Bye – I really do not do well with goodbyes. I’m not a big crier at the point of the farewell, because my subconscious always prepares me for it. I just feel empty and smile awkwardly. But after all is said and done, I would feel the ache creeping in when I am alone.
3. What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?
Books. I was not always an avid reader, but it grew on me during my teenage years. Today, it has become a staple in my life. I have this insatiable hunger for knowledge on good literature. I fall in love with stories. I find myself wanting to know ALL the good stories, authors, plays, poems and even sonnets.
4. What turns you off?
Watching a bad film. But I admit, ‘bad’ is subjective.
5. What is your favorite curse word?
Fucking cunt. Please pardon my language.
6. What sound or noise do you love?
The sound of nature in the background.
7. What sound or noise do you hate?
People shouting or nails on chalkboard.
8. What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
Being a producer. I would love to get involved in putting a team together for a good production. I want to be engaged in every single part of the film-making process, from the creative part of selecting a good script right down to the technicality of the production.
I would also love to try my hand at modeling. But I do not know if that is because of my interest in fashion, or just the vain part of me wanting nice clothes to wear.
9. What profession would you not like to do?
Being a waiter.
10. If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?
All is good. You don’t have to worry anymore.
