About This Workshop
Once you have down the basics of improv and improv theory, it is time to apply your skills to long form techniques. Long form improv features the creation of scenes and characters without the rules of short form games. In this class you will practice instant creation of characters, improvising authentically, and grounding your scenes.
All of this practice will be accomplished while learning the most popular long form improv formats including the Harold, La Ronde, Pretty Flower, Deconstruction, and Montage. You will also learn the standard improv editing techniques, heightening, game, and physicality.
At the end of the course, you will perform in a Left In Stitches showcase with your class troupe – one of the formats that we agree upon during class.
Participants will be paid a percentage of the box office to incentivise professional work.
About the public showcase
Tickets for the Left In Stitches Comedic Improv Showcase are available at $10 via Method Productions
