Who is the workshop for?
The workshop is open to anybody who is interested in authentic performance techniques and learning about presence. How ‘to be’ on stage. The workshop is for those who are interested in telling stories based on their own experiences. Those who have something to say about the world we live in.
Open to everybody from 18 to 80 years old.
What is the workshop about?
The workshop will work towards a contemporary performance piece, presented on the last couple of hours of the workshop, based on personal stories from all the participants.
We will work on techniques developed by Alan Lyddiard over the last 40 years working in theatres across Europe and beyond. From nothing we will create something special – together. We will search for those seemingly insignificant moments in our lives that became meaningful. We will create beauty through simple statements and movements. We will develop ways to illuminate some of our most vivid experiences and share it with others. Using stories, movement, music we will create performance that goes to the heart of the matter.
