Programme Description

*Please note there is a public showcase at the end of the workshop on Hari Raya Puasa, Sunday 25 June 2017.

Inspired by the works of Dutch company Dogtroep this workshop will explore creation of fantastical worlds and characters by taking inspiration from the site. The space around us defines creation.

The most fundamental part of a performance is the location. Where the performance takes place. Normally we create expensive buildings to force a neutral background on which the play can impose it’s vision. But what if we swap that around and instead of hiding the space we embrace it? What if we make the space the centre of the performance?

Together with Toby Papazoglou and your fellow workshop members you will create a performance inspired and made by you. Everything is up for grabs in this project, the end depends on your courage and creativity.

Devising is the process of creating an entire production without a script from the tiniest of beginnings.
In Devising, the company comes together to create something greater than the sum of it’s parts and uses each of our unique talents to do it. Join Toby Papazoglou in this practical and meandering act of creation!
